I have been getting this error for about a week now and I have been unable to solve it. It has been making me very frustrated. All I want is to be able to play Mp3's with WMP
So, here's my issue:
Whenever I play specifically an Mp3 file....
- Windows Media Player gives me the error code: C00D11B1
- Windows Media Center tells me the file is "missing, corrupt, or in a different location"
- MediaMonkey crashes
- Apple Quicktime actually plays the mp3 file
Also, this only occurs when I play an mp3 file; WMA's and M4a's work fine.
What I have tried thus far...
- Reinstalled Codecs
- Tried different Codecs
- Used System Restore
- DRM reset
- Tried to play files on clean boot
I also understand their could be an issue with ID3 headers. I'm not to sure how it causes the issue but i tried removing them or something using Mp3diag... i think... it was sorta an act of desperation during a frustrating moment so I'm not too sure what I did.
But if ID3 headers are the problem if someone could recommend an easy way to fix them that would be great!
Any help solving this issue would be awesome!
Thanks
