Converted clip using QuickTime Pro 7 gives only 10 FPS

I have got this QuickTime Pro 7 with me and I am kind of very happy using it. There was no problem at all with it and the movies as well as the songs play very well on it. Now the thing is that I have converted a clip using QuickTime Pro7 from h.264 to DV-PAL. And over here I selected 25 FPS. When I check the get Info section it just confirms its 25 FPS but FCE sees the same clip as only 10 FPS .Please do get back to me on this as this is really annoying to me.

I just had a look at the question that you have put up and would say that this is something that happened with such converted clips. And these things especially take place when you imported it. So what this does is that it eventually plays the footage slowly and yet the audio is at normal speed. So I guess that this is something that is normal and you don’t have to worry much about it. But I still do feel that you should check the FCE again and see if it properly shows the rate of frames per.

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. I think that I have checked the FCE sees the same clip as only 10 FPS .But actually the things is that I actually check the get Info section it just confirms its 25 FPS and it actually does look like the clip is running at 10 FPS per second. And that is the real worry for me .So can you tell me what I need to do to get away with this problem.I have checked everything but didn’t find any reason why this would happen. So now it all depends on you to solve the problem that I am facing.

Even I had a similar kind of problem but then I realized that the process of converting the clip went wrong and that is the reason it have me less frames per second. Then what I did was that I converted the same clip again and at that time the results were different.I now get proper frames per second as I should get and even the FCE sees the same clip and gives similar kind of frames per second. So I guess that you should also use the same solution and then all will be fine with you.

I think that using QuickTime Pro 7 gives you only 10 FPS. What happens is that the file plays fine in Quick Time and hence I am not sure if the problem is Quick Time’s or not. But still I guess that if you apply the same procedure where you can just convert the clip once again and then check if the solution works for you or not. I have seen that the same issue happens on two different machines as well and I would suggest you that the original file is at fault and I wondered if anyone else has encountered the same problem or not.
