Hi I am using ubuntu 10.4 on my computer which have 2.13Ghz and Intel Core2duo and I have RAM of 2gb and hard disk of 160gb. I am trying to establish a streaming server for distributing a TV signals whch is grabed with a pvr-150 with the help of a RTP multicast on normal LAN. I have done same thing with the VLC 1.0.6 and VLC 1.1.2 which works perfectly, only I got the problem of crashing because of X264 package.please reply me how to solve this problem. Thank you.

Hey I just go through your problem and according to that I have made research and by doing that i found that the problem which you are facing it may be because of a VLC assert failure and also because of execution of the upstream x264.to fix that problem i turn on the lucid-bleed ppa and after that i upgrade it to 1.1.5 to tackle the problem. After that I am nor able to getting any output to the stream using x264 and I have not face any errors related to that. Now I came to know there is some thing wrong with the x264 because if I change the vcodec in to div3 then it works normally.

Hey after reading your issue I got one solution for that. Because of the late buffers on MUX all messages are still streaming but now I am able to provide video stream to my clients. I also checked the divx to confirm that it is a encoder and it is working perfectly. Now there are no errors I am facing and my CPU usage is also very low. I have also tried some source code for resolving audio sycn issues but I don’t knoe whether its working or not. Try this solution I think it will fix your problems too.

Hi I am also getting similar kind of errors VLC. I have noticed that std10.04-1.06 is normally works stable after it statarted also properly streamed with captured in h264/flv. If any changes made in that then only it gets crashed otherwise you don’t see any problem with it. As you told in above post that you are also having issues to rectifying the audio sync problems then you can solve it by installing maverick std on new box 1.1.4 and also maverick bleed 1.1.5 try this it may work for you. I have tried same thing and now I am not facing any issues in it.
