With or without the USB speaker no sound from Media player and internet explorer

I am having a Toshiba laptop, this is running with windows vista OS, the problem is there is no sound from my system whenever I open any media file from in windows media player, along with this also if I searched any audio enable web site it does not appear any sound. This problem does not occurred with the other audio output, like with the VLC media player, it properly dispatch the sound. What should be the exact cause about this problem? Is there any suggestion for me to resolve this issue?

As per the problem that you mentioned in your posit, I think the issue with the internet explorer web browser is occurring for itself, for that I suggest you to make sure that the flash player is installer and working properly, along with also make sure that the play sound with this web page is checked under advanced setting option of the browser setting. Look for this I hope there you will surely get help.

As per my opinion the problem with the windows media player, the problem may be occurring for the media player, though you mentioned that the audio output with the other media player is working fine, though for this I think by reload the media player the problem, can be resolved somehow, remove the existing one also remove the other files related with the media player. Now run the fresh installation of media player and follow the onscreen instructions, try this.

I think the problem might be occurring for the audio driver of your system, because this was also happened with me, to resolve this issue I would like to suggest you to reload the audio driver, though the problem that you posted here is not occurring with the other output, but it may be happening for the driver, download the appropriate device driver from manufacturer web site and replace with the installed driver, I hope if the issue is simply occurring for the audio device driver then it will surely help you .

Is the USB speaker is connected with your system when you tried to play the media file? Make sure that the speaker is selected as the audio output device in sound tab from control panel, also be sure that one is working properly. If you found the default devices is not selected then manually select that one as your default device. If this does not help you then I suggest you to restore your system, this might be occurring for the windows operating system, then by restore process this can be solved.
