TCP Optimizer 3.0.5 crashes on Windows Server 2008 R2

I am running a Windows Server 2008 R2 on my desktop machine and I have everything in my control. Prior to this I was using the Windows 7 on which I am habitat to use the TCP Optimizer 3.0.5 which is great software. But since I have installed the Windows server 2008 R2 on my machine, It has stopped working. Actually it launches but suddenly gets crashed. Does anybody has any idea what could be the reason for this crashing?

First of all you need to check that this program is compatible with the windows sever 2008 or not. If yes then please check that you have installed it properly or not. After checking for these two criteria, You should try running this program running in an Admin which may let you use this software. Crashing has lots of reasons due to which it is bit hard to configure the accurate issue.

Re: TCP Optimizer 3.0.5 crashes on Windows Server 2008 R2

I am using the same software on my windows 7 machine and I have a small question, I hope that somebody can give me proper solution. I have adjusted the TCP Optimizer the MTU value from 1500 to 1492. Now the problem is that it takes much long to get connected with an internet. I have checked about it from the task manager which shows that process starts very slow. Even after connecting to internet, It works much slower.

Why did you have to adjust the MTU value? Until you switch from cable to a DSL provider and if so to what. Some of the 1492 is not right. What did you do so for technology in use? (Modem, router, etc) What are using for a BS you and you run firewall / anti virus programs? The one with the processes, I can not not understand. Why do you put the settings with the TCP Optimizer does not return, who has yet to backup / restore function?

Most WLAN routers are by default set to channel 6 or 11. If several WLANs in the neighborhood on the same channels, there may be interference. Also, electrical devices such as DECT phones and microwave ovens interfere with the wireless frequency range.
  1. You should therefore determine, on which channels WLANs in the neighborhood to work with either your wireless utility software or the free NetStumbler.
  2. Try different radio channels. (Change from Route menu)
  3. Set the transmit power on the router and the wireless adapter to 100%.
  4. The channel distance to beach disclosed wireless network should be at least 4 to 5.
  5. Greater distances from the router or walls known to lead to lower speeds.
