blush Import from Excel to MS Project , Strange Prob!!

Not sure if this is an excel porb or a MS problem,

I have an excel spreadsheet, laid out identically to MS Project. I have succesfully managed to inport the data from excel to MS project, with one annoying problem.

In the import wizard preview, all appears fine, and info is identical to my spreadhsheet, once import is complete, the start date defaults to the beginning of 2007, even thought the actual start dates are in 07 & 08, Has anyone got any experience with this??

Was this post ever resolved. I am curious as to how this import works. Usually the issue is importing from MS project to Excel.

You can very easily copy and paste information from XL into Project. If you want the data hot linked, you have to do an Edit, Paste Special, Paste Link and select "Data". In many cases, if you are copying to a field that doesn't already exist in Project, you'll have to create matching custom fields and probably a custom table to paste data into. Hope this helps in your world.
