Need help uninstalling a compatibility file

I hope someone can help me - I have a compatibility pack for the 2007 office system that just won't uninstall. I had 2007 a couple of years ago it went odd and wouldn't work, I couldn't get it to re-install so I removed it from my computer. However, this compatibility pack refuses to leave.

How can I get rid of it?

Did you tried removing it from Add and Remove programs ? If yes, what error are you getting ? Anyways, here is the way to remove it:

Go to Add and remove programs OR Programs and Features under control panel (depending on XP or Vista/Windows 7). Select "Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office system" and click on Remove or Uninstall. Thats it. It should be removed.

That does not remove it which is why I asked for help.

Thanks anyway I will obviously be stuck with the crap on my computer for good.
