Which type of documents are you trying to open ? Is this error coming while accessing any Office Documents or any Microsoft Program ? Anyways, probably this error occurs when your security setting is set to very high and and you are trying to do something that is not allowed as per that settings. For more help on this, just visit any of the thread listed in this .

I am having the same issue where i am unable to work with the document on my system. I have gone through the below given instruction that worked for me so i am expecting that this will work for you also. Just go through the instruction given below:
    • Start the Internet explorer
    • Go to tools menu
    • Select Internet Options
    • Click on the Advanced tab.
    • Go to Security section.
    • Check the option “Allow active content to run in files on My Computer.”
    • Click on Apply
    • Click on OK.
