how to change the default email program other than outlook in windows 7

I want to change the email program other than outlook in my windows 7 operating system. I want to change it to the Lotus Notes 7.0.3. So is there any step from which I can change my default program. I have tried checking the list of default programs but I cannot find Lotus Notes 7.0.3. Whenever I go to the GoToMeeting section it is always defaulted to outlook. Sadly I am not an experienced user of the outlook. So do suggest me some steps to change the default program.

While installing the particular lotus program always try that you check the option of adding it in the list of default programs. However the version that you have mentioned of the lotus program is compatible for the windows 7. So the compatibility issue cannot be found in the lotus program. So do once try uninstalling the lotus program and installing it again. This might work and you will get the desired result.

Well what you have to do is try the following method.
1) Go to the file and In that select the preferences.
2) After that select the user preference. Under that go to the mail option.
3) Select internet and in that default mail program.
4) Once you have got there check the option Use Lotus Notes as my default email program.
In this way you will get the lotus program running in the windows 7.

Let me tell you all I have tried with the same solution that you have given but unfortunately I could not set it as the default program. So no specific solution helped me. So finally I had to uninstall the outlook program from the system. Well that was a temporary solution for now. I could not find any permanent solution here. So in case you have any other suggestions then do let me know as soon as possible.

Well I think the above suggested solutions are the correct one and they are used to change the default program. In case still you are not able to change the default program then you can report this problem to the Microsoft people and they will have a look on it and can accordingly give you some solutions on it. So this is the last option you can try. So try contacting them and do the necessary changes.
