OE 6 default font and stationary

    Hi,

I am using OE 6, and WIN XP.SP3

I am trying to use the stationary feature of OE 6, and while I can create stationary that I want, and it does work with OE 6, there is another problem.

No matter how I set the Font size (etc.) in the program, nor what I set it to in Word when/where I am creating the stationary, the first line of my stationary--when I go to OE 6 & Create--is always 12 pt.

If I scroll down one line it changes to 14 pts. or whatever I have created in the stationary, but that first line stays at 12 unless I physically change it in the drop-down list.

I have tried repeatedly to do the change via Tools>Options>Compose>Mail etc., but that makes no difference whatever. Also, I have changed the default in Word, to be 14 pts., thinking it might be affecting the OE 6 default (my reasoning being that I know the spell checker in OE 6 needs the Word Processor's spell checker to be active).

I am getting frustrated and hope that somebody has a solution to this.

    Thank you.

    Clayton

Follow the below method to solve your problem:
    • Select Tools then Options and then from the menu in Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail or Outlook Express.
    • In Windows Live Mail, you may have to hold down the Alt key to see the menu bar.
    • Go to the Compose tab.
    • Under Compose Font, click the Font Settings... button next to Mail:.
    • Choose the desired font and color.
    • Click OK.

    Hi
    Thanks for your reply.
However, I have already tried that, several times, but still the first line stays at 12 pt.

Yes, from what I have heard so far if you are using stationery, some default to a specific font and size.

Tools | Options | Compose. Make sure nothing is checked or selected in the
    Stationery section, including Blank.

In IE: Tools | Internet Options | Accessibility. Uncheck: "Ignore font sizes
    specified on web pages".
