Preview Pane not functioning in windows 7

I installed Windows 7 x64 on a Dell Studio 15. The preview pane has not at all functioned correctly in Windows Explorer. Image files come into view correctly (jpg, gif, etc.), but no other type of folder previews at all. No fault appears. The screen is just blank. I try to get help as of Dell since this was an OEM setting up, but the techs at Dell did not appear to have important working information of the operating system. I am presumptuous this is a registry problem; I just have no thought how just before fix it. Thanks for your assist.

The problem is most likely that you've enabled Windows Classic Folders, which disables the two panels. If you are not sure what I'm talking about, look at the crystals that are enabled on the bottom and right. The bottom pane is the details pane, and the right is the preview pane. To enable them, normally you should click Organize, and then the design would show the details or the preview pane? But why are not these issues on the list? Click Organize and then Folder Options and search. “On the General tab, select the "Show preview and filters" in the Tasks section at the top. Now, the preview pane and the details should be available in the list apparently, this should be in the manual somewhere.

Please start the Microsoft File Explorer and go over the button (top left) to "organize" then "Layout". Just generate the Preview Pane option "Enable" and appears out Windows 7 Preview window. If the function is not needed anymore, then just the same way, Windows 7 Preview disables. Also keep this thing in mind it might be helpful to you can by a double click an image the "Windows Photo Viewer" to start, different functions to display digital photos with. From here, images are displayed in full screen slide show as the images selection and playback speed of the slideshow can be controlled.

Hi, I think my problem is to somewhat related to the above issue. Can someone tell me where I can turn the preview pane? With me is just a text. With Windows 7, so you could right click on the Taskbar off and use the "thumbnail" or off. I do not have this option in Windows 7. Can anyone help?
