Unable to Activate Microsoft Reader software in Windows 7

I have recently installed the Microsoft Reader software on my laptop and when tried to activate the same from the official site but unable to do the same. I used internet Explorer to visit the Microsoft activation site to activate the newly installed Microsoft Reader and when I started the process then it told me that the activation was successfully done but later on when I tried to open the eBook then it gave me an error saying that I don’t have appropriate rights to do the same. Please help me in this case and also let me know the proper way to activate the Microsoft reader.

Well if you will ask me than I will suggest you to check out with the software that you have downloaded. Because it may have happen that the software that you have downloaded is not form the official site and when you are trying to activate it then the official site is failing to validate the product. So what you have to do here is that just uninstall the software and then install the same from the official site of Microsoft and then try and do the activation. I hope this time it will not give you any error.

According to me the error that you are getting is the valid one because you are not having the appropriate rights. As said by you that you are getting the error which is saying that you don’t have the appropriate rights. So thing that you haven’t logged in as the administrator and that is why you are getting this error. Now what you have to do here is that just log in yourself as the administrator and then see if you are able to have an access over the eBook. I guess logging in as the administrator will not give you any issues.

I thing the only solution for you here is that uninstalling the windows 7 professional and then installing the windows 7 ultimate one. Actually it happens that we are not able to run some software on the specific versions of windows 7 and they are easily compatible with the windows 7 Ultimate. I want you to do so because I am also having the windows 7 ultimate and the Microsoft Reader is doing well on it and also it is the registered copy.

It may have also happened that the software and the operating system both are fine but the problem is with the eBook that you are trying to open. So what you have to do here is that just try and use any other eBook and see how it goes. I mean to say that just open any other eBook and if it opens successfully then there is nothing wrong with the software that you are using and it is confirmed that it is being registered. I hope that it will help you to solve the problem.
