Windows 7 Media Player not playing HD resolution 1600x1200

I am in fact capturing a video from a HD camera that is 1600x1200 resolutions and storing it in a MP4 container. The trouble is WMP12 cannot play the video. On the other hand if I record the video in 1920x1080 resolution, WMP plays the video devoid of a trouble. The similar 1600x1200 file can be played by means of VLC. Can someone provide a solution for this issue? Should you require a taster file do let me know about it?

    1. What is the error message you get while you attempt to play the video in 1600x1200 resolutions?
    2. What is the format of the Video you are annoying to play?

This is regularly not caused by the Media Player; this problem is due to your display adapter unable to play the output of upper resolution. I advise that you install the most recent drivers for your display adapter and verify if you have the similar problem.

I also have the same issue. The video codec is an H264 format. The error message that I am receiving is as follows:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec which was utilized to squeeze the file." I have the most recent graphics card driver that is NVIDIA 9500GT. I don’t have any trouble while playing the h264 video with resolution 1920x1080. Let me know if you require any additional information.

Have you verified if you are able to play these Video files by means of any extra Third Party Media Players? The error message points to that, the problem can be caused because the Media Player does not have the necessary codec’s to play the files. I advise that you attempt with a dissimilar Media Player and make sure if you can play these files. By means of Third Party Software, as well as hardware drivers can cause grave troubles which may stop your computer from booting correctly. Microsoft cannot assurance that any troubles resulting from the exercise of Third Party Software can be solved. By means of Third Party Software is at your personal risk.

If your graphics card supports dipping the hardware acceleration, I advise that you decrease the hardware acceleration ON and verify if you can play the videos in this resolution. First, attempt to do this with Windows Media Player.
    1. Open Media Player; push the Alt key to bring up the file menu.
    2. After that just Click on the Tools and Options.
    3. Then, Click the Performance tab and Un-check Turn on DirectX Acceleration.
    4. Click OK, then close and Open Media Player.
