    problem in connection between windows 7 and windows xp network

    Hi all
    Please help me
    I create a VPN server in windows xp and create a client VPN connection in windows 7 and and connect to the VPN server successful.
    put when i try to connect to network sharing folder massage error say (windows cannot access to \\ xxx.xxx.xxx )

    notes: I tried to ping to this ip and reply me

    please help me

    It might be possible that you have not enabled then network discovery & file sharing on the Windows 7 running machine and that is why getting the problem with the sharing. You need to set the permission on the folder which you are using or not. Just right click on folder and go to the properties and go to share tab and check then Share this file and folder and click on OK. Now try to share the file. I hope this will work with the issue of yours.

    I already enable the network discovery & file sharing because I can see every PC in work group and access to it normal . and i set a permission on the folder but nothing. I still received the error message

    You must go to "Control Panel \ Network and Internet \ Network and Sharing Center". Here you go in the left tab "change sharing settings advanced" and you disable protected sharing password in public and residential or business. At this point XP should have access to SEVEN. Then if you want to share any folder, right click on it, properties, shares, share. Then select the group you wish to add and finally change the law according to what you want. Also you must keep in mind that the Security tab only appears in Windows XP if the hard disk is partitioned with NTFS. Seven to imagine that this is the same but I do not get enough for this beast.
