    Problem in configuring Outlook 2007

I am having windows XP installed on my desktop. I am having an internet connection with the latest version of antivirus installed on it. I have installed a new version of outlook on my system. When I need to use the outlook 2007 it displays an error message saying “Outlook must be online to connect the server” and window exits. Is there any additional software that I need to install? Can anyone provide some solution to overcome this problem?
