SharePoint 2007 and Office 2010 are compatible?

I have been using Office 2010 but have been getting into complications while updating documents in a Share Point 2007 atmosphere. I have been receiving the subsequent warnings when trying to save the changes<Document Name> has not been uploaded to the server. Do you want to close this file? All Microsoft Office files that have changes pending upload to the server.

According to me you need to check uploaded files in Microsoft Office Upload Center?
Steps are as follows:

1. Click start button
2. Then all programs
3. Microsoft office
4. Then click on Microsoft Office 2010 Tools and
5. Then click Microsoft Office Upload Center.

By doing this we can view all the files which are uploaded effectively or awaiting upload. Then try manually upload by clicking on upload all

According to me you should follow the following steps
First open up the internet explorer
Then click on the tools options
And then on internet options
Then click the connections tab
Click on LAN settings
Check “Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections).”
Enter127.0.0.1 for the address (loop back)
Then click advanced and in the exceptions type**
And then click OK

According to me you can use share point server 2010 with office client 2007. The best possible way would be using the Share Point Server 2010 with office 2010 compared to better that is using be using the Share Point Server 2010 with office 2007 and the good one that is using the Share Point Server 2010 with office 2003 For the share point designer. Compatible by using Share Point Server 2010 with Share Point Designer 2010 and Not Compatible by using Share Point Server 2010 with Share Point Designer 2007
