I am using Time Machine that works with my Mac and an external hard drive. I immediately connect the drive and allocate it to Time Machine. Time Machine will mechanically back up your whole Mac, including system files, applications, accounts, preferences, music, photos, movies, and documents. But what create Time Machine different from additional backup applications is so as to it not only keeps a spare copy of every file, it retain information.
