    Defrag Exchange Server 2007

I am running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and i have a simple question in my mind. Is it necessary or shall i say good to schedule a disk defragmentation of your server regularly? And how would it be to use Diskeeper 2008 software for defragmenting an Exchange Server 2007? If this software should not be used then which should i go for?

Diskeeper 2008 Pro Premier operates interchangeably with all versions of XP and Vista 32 as at 64 bits. This version is primarily intended for users working with large volumes of files and that the defragment keeps running fast and optimal or hard drives. It has been used specially by designers working with high resolution files, tasks, heavy video editing, audio editing with uncompressed files sampled, CAD / CAM ... but also those who spend their time downloading and delete video files.

Diskeeper 2008 Pro Premier uses InvisiTasking technology. This method automatically takes care of defragmentation in real time and without any user intervention! If you're one of the users who do not defrag with the basic utility built into Windows XP / Vista, due to time or even forget you're interested in migrating to a version dedicated Diskeeper . It is indeed the price of peace. The access time of your hard disks, optimizing your files it will find, according to Diskeeper Corporation Europe, accelerated to 80%.

I use Diskeeper for several years in which I entrust to defragment my hard drives. When renewing my license Diskeeper 2007 Professional I subscribed to service proposed by the publisher to get the latest updates as they become available. And this morning I received an update that was nothing less than the new 2008 version of the product that I immediately installed and I'm going to watch the performance.

Defragmentation is, in fact, provided in the background, using only idle resources of the system, in whole or in part. The computer is still perfectly usable, only the disk operations a little slow, although one option would avoid the slowdown. The program has other innovative technologies. I-FAAST 2.0, available only on the Pro version first, accelerates very valuable, regardless of defragmentation, file access 10 to 20% on average and up to 80%.

    Re: Defrag Exchange Server 2007

After having been doing research on the net to defragment the basis of an exchange server 2007, I found the following solution:
    1. After removing the base go to the Command Prompt.
    2. Run the following command:
    "C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft \ Exchange Server \ Bin \ Eseutil.exe" / d "C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft \ Exchange Server \ Mailbox \ First Storage Group \ Mailbox Database.edb"
    3. Mailbox Database.edb: the name of your database
C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft \ Exchange Server \ Mailbox \ First Storage Group \: the chemain your database
    C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft \ Exchange Server \ Bin \ eseutil.exe the chemain Order ESUTIL.exe
    / D: switch to defragment
and "....." between the path is required.
