HP Laserjet 1020 driver for Mac OSX

I am having one issue which i need to solve with your help. I have just installed the Mac OS X into the device of mine and wanted to install the driver for the HP Laserjet 1020 printer but not having the compatible driver for same. I am having the Widows Compatible driver but not having for Mac. So if any one is having the knowledge then please let me know about the same. Thanks in advance.

If you are looking for the driver for the printer to run on the Mac OS X then i will advise you to contact the HP regarding the same and ask for the compatible driver for the same. As they are developer, might be having the compatible driver for the Mac OS X. So contact the and see whether it is working for you or not.

I had the same that I solve by opening the printer driver and select HP LaserJet 1022 driver like Gutenprint v5.2.3 and non-HP Laserjet 1.2.0.224 seems to be selected by default. So if you want then download the driver Gutenprint v5.2.3 which will give you the necessary for the proper functioning of the printer. Thanks you will like the same.

Just go through the below given step to get rid of the issue. I hope this will work for you.

• Unplug and turn off the printer if you had connected
• Download driver
• If you've been fiddling with before, delete everything related to the HP 1020 (or 1022) in / Library / reciepts and / Library / Printers / hp / laserjet
• Restart your Mac
• Run the installer file you downloaded
• Shut down your Mac
• Connect the USB cable and turn the printer
• Turn on your Mac
• Run the Printer Setup Utility
• Select the HP Laserjet 1020
