If your computer is freezing while decoding from H264 you should do the following steps on the system:
    • open systems preferences.
    • Click on the advance.
    • Go to the input codec.
    • After this open other codecs.
    • Open FFmpeg
    • Use the skip-filter loop forH264 to all the options.
    • After this restart the vLC player IT will be able to play now wiyh better performance.

As you want a better performance from the H264 so that your VLC could get the better video resolution. I have an encoder for such codecs. H.264 can encode the other video files to the AVC encoded video. You can also use this tool to create a H.264 movie by yourself. You can download H264 encoder. Try this.

Your CPU did not posses enough speed for decoding the 1080 p content. I can suggest you to do the following steps in order to solve the problem:
    • You need to upgrade your CPU to AM2 or as fast as you can do.
    • Upgrade the video card with the 3XXX ATI video cards.

After your suggestion I have upgraded the CPU AM2 4000. When ever I trying to play videos i get the information from the task manager that I am using the 40% of the CPU and this makes me guess that CPU is not the problem. Is it the problem by the video card I am using 7300gt. I really need to change the video card or should I try any other codec packs.Suggest me.
