Office 2008: There is a problem with the office database

one of the programs contained in Office08 error message that there were problems with the database and you should make this again. But even with the new manufacture Date bank program does not help. Even the reinstall of Office, or installing the updates does not solve the problem. Does anyone have any idea how to address the problem is or where is the location of the identities at all, so that ma can delete this? Thank you

This error do occur when you do a new installation in when an older version of the application is already present on your machine, than that with the Office before reinstalling existed, back to the updates are installed. You should try to do a repair of the database. This error (here at Excel start) the database is also usually not very defective. The typical case is the absence of the respective updates. So it will be better to update the Excel sheet.

I think that you should ensure that the updates are really installed. If necessary, uninstall again (using the uninstaller in / 2008/Zusätzliche Microsoft Office Tools / Remove Office Office /), installed it again. Lad the max. 2 updates (12.1.0 and / or 12.1.7 depending on whether the DVD or 12.1.x on it is already 12.0.0) for safety on the official Web site and check Check for Downloads.

You simply need to delete all the files of the Microsoft User folder under Documents. Now we have some first no more problems. Even if you are on locally in ~ / Documents / Microsoft User Data / Office identities / data stored can dispense-2008. The majority of users do not want to lose usually the Entourage data to this place. But the problem will be fixed

An employee of mine gets when working with Office 2004 on Tiger the error message "Office database is corrupt" someone knows about the problem. How do you repair the best. I would be grateful for a tip, I get the computer until tomorrow in the fingers and have not really fixed the time. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

I would be the recommendation, "say away from Microsoft Entourage." now you will only help anything. if you keep on opening the programs the "alt key" button, you ask entourage, what are you going to do. Always good before make a backup of the database.

Simply drag the Office folder to the trash, empty it and put the original folder from the DVD to the Applications folder. Then you install the updates and then hopefully good issues. If that does not help, you have in your personal documents folder to delete the Microsoft User Data folder. These are but a few will be lost.
