The reason behind this issue is just High Contrast” accessibility option on your computer which is not allowing you to work with the same. If you wanted to get rid of same then you have to go through the below given step. But this is only applicable for the Windows XP.

    • Click on Start
    • Open the Control Panel.
    • Click on Accessibility Options
    • Click on Display tab.
    • Deselect "Use High Contrast"
    • Thats it!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your quick response that you have given me but let me tell you that i am not the user of the Windows XP. I am working with the Windows Vista which is giving this issue. I appreciate the response of yours but if possible then let me know what steps to follow with the Windows Vista as i am using the same.

As you have asked about the working of the same step in the Windows Vista so let me tell you that it can be possible with the Windows Vista also. All you have to do is to follow the below given step for the same.
    • Open the Control Panel
    • Click on "Ease of Access Center icon"
    • Click the "Set up High Contrast icon"
    • Adjust the High Contrast color scheme settings

If you are unable to compose and send e-mail because you are prompted with script errors, we have received reports that one of the possible cause of this is that the “High Contrast” accessibility option on your computer is turned on. To isolate the issue, I suggest turning off this feature and verify if you will encounter the same issue.

So if possible then go througgh the same and find the solution for same. I hope this will work for you.
