It appears to me as you are facing this error because you have downloaded a corrupt copy of the iTunes application. So you are getting this error so i would suggest you to download the iTunes from the apple website then uninstall the application from your system then reinstall the application again on the system. I just got Windows 7, I start to install some software like mozilla, vlc without problems. Now I wish I had avast and Open Office, I downloaded the latest installer. I think you need to install Microsoft Visual C + + 2008 Redistributable (x64) , then finally restart the desktop computer, then install Avast tests of Open Office. Hope that this will definitely help you to fix this issue.
