    Live Mesh is intended to be replaced with Live Sync in Wave 4

    With the advent of Windows Live Wave 4 , it was found that installing it entails the removal of Live Mesh in favor of Windows Live Sync but it offers only 2GB of storage cons 5GB for Live Mesh and other changes I 'll try to go around Live Sync uses the technology of Live Mesh P2P synchronization , the main advantage that I was at Live Mesh was its online storage for sharing files between two computers even if they were not connected to the web simultaneously , something that remained in sync with Live storage space smaller. Any idea?

    Windows Live Mesh is a service we do not have spoken at length on Frogz . It allows you to synchronize in the Cloud all your data , and no matter the device or they are : PC , Mac , Windows Phone, etc. A very practical way to have your data behind you and no matter where you might find . A web interface can also view their " Web Desktop "to access its range of documents hosted free on the web. After over a year and a half of beta , Windows Live Mesh will be integrated into Windows Live and its new wave services. Better yet , it will be included in Windows Live Sync.

    Windows Live Sync makes it possible to synchronize files online with the same characteristics as Folder Share . However, Microsoft has listened to feedback from users and suggests the improvements or new features:
    * File limits increased : up to 20 folders synchronized ( formerly known as libraries ) that can each contain up to 20,000 files
    * Integration with Windows Live ID
    * integration with the trash
    * Unicode support
    * More languages for the Windows version : 46 total
    * resolutions bug.

    Live Mesh is just the beginning . But actually , this is a duplicate. But not that much. Live Mesh is oriented towards a protocol for sharing information online storage. I do not mean just the files as is the case for Windows Live Sync . Live Mesh has a framework that allows to create applications that will run in the OS associated with the online service . The applications can be built using JavaScript or Silverlight . Ultimately, Live Mesh will offer an SDK that will allow any application to rely on a method of file sharing and collaborative functional . It then goes far beyond the simple file sharing . We return the Software + Services strategy of Microsoft with the arrival of Windows Azure. Live Mesh is a part of that Windows Azure will bring us. Also Windows Live Sync allows access to directories of your PC remotely without being synchronized and stored online . The only restriction is that the PC that you test access is turned on and connected to the Internet. I hope I was clear in my explanation.

    Live Sync thus takes the place of Live Mesh. The user will be able to define, with the assistance of his Live account ID , several machines connected. He then declare which files to sync between machines, with the possibility , if desired , store online . In this case , of course, these same data will be available for a specific Web site from any browser (or almost).

    Whether we speak of Firefox or Chrome, many parameters are supported and synchronized. Of course, we speak here as a beta , and things still have time to evolve before the final version, and even after. However, nothing prevents Microsoft to offer an API that allow third party developers to include in their own software can synchronize data and settings using Live Sync. This will offer another novelty that may interest some users a lot : the ability to remotely access their machines if they are on . Two methods are possible :
    1. Sync Live From the client on another computer.
    2. Since the Windows Live Devices.
