Choppy HD video: 360 Media Center Extender on Windows 7 64 bit

I have seen that the video on my Xbox 360 with the higher bitrate are getting halts and stuttered when i am playing them in Windows Media Center. But when the same video played from the dashboard then it does not have any problem. I am using an Intel Core i7-920 @ 4.0GHz and there is a support of 6GB DDR3-1600 & 80GB Intel X25-M G2. I have a 2x 1GB Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 as well on this system.

I suggest you to do the same thing on some other computer system as there could be some kind of hardware which might be causing this kind of problem on your Xbox 360 when you try to play the video. But make sure that another computer system also should be having Windows 7 installed on it. So that you can confirm that there is nothing wrong with an operating system.

I think this would be a problem of version of windows operating system as you have installed 64 bit windows 7 operating system on your machine. I suggest you to try the same thing on any 32 bit windows system and i am sure that there wont be any such problem. Because i have played many video on my Xbox 360 along with the 32 bit windows 7 os.

I have confirmed this issue as i was having 64 bit windows 7 operating system in my machine and i have tried playing some videos on my Xbox 360 when i was playing it through the Windows Media Center. But then i installed 32 bit of same operating system and the problem went away. So i think the problem is with the version of an operating system.

This could be an issue with the NICs as well. For getting the best results on your system, Specially when you are using the Gigabyte network then you should use an Intel NIC in the PC with flow control enabled. And the switch which can store all the packets which are sent by the PC. The Xbox is only a 10/100 device and your PC is probably running at a gigabyte, So without the Flow Control and Good Switch you would be facing this problem.
