Error 1402 when installing Office Ultimate 2007 Win7

When I reinstall the Office suite in 2007, an error message 1402 appears to me and it shows "Error 1402. Setup cannot open the registry key UNKNOWN \ Components \ 2BF2FEEB0EC2D11FB750008F5B9AE88 \ 00002109E600C0400000000000F01FEC" Can you tell me as how to restore the situation. I use Windows 7 and I have the original key office suite. More than I have done in the regedit to indicate "full control". I am trying to lose patience is there anybody who can answer me why I am getting Error 1402 when installing Office Ultimate 2007 Win7.

I am also facing similar problem I cannot install Office 2010 that I bought over the internet (so I have no CD). This is the Professional version Education. When I try to install it, there is an error message: Error 1402. Setup cannot open the registry key UNKNOWN \ Components \ DA42BC89BF25F: Make sure you have the rights suffisantspour access the registry or contact Microsoft Technical Support" I had office 2007 preinstalled on my PC, I removed it using fix-it. And I had Office 2010 beta, I uninstalled manually. My pc is running Windows 7-64 bits.

I did what was stated in the link but when you install, another error message appeared: "Error 1920. Failed to start the service" Office Software Protection Platform (osppsvc). Make sure you have the necessary permissions to start system services. “The facility has again failed. Office 2010 is ready to be installed on Windows 7 x 64-bit? I really searched the net and I find that many people have experienced problems with cons, there are few solutions on the same site rarely mention Microsoft Office 2010.

In the MMC window, right click on Services Office Software Protection Platform ", then click Properties. Select the tab "Connection". Uncheck the box "This account" and select "Local System Account". I already tried what you propose, before even having your answer: I searched on google and I came across a message saying exactly the same thing. But this does not work because there is no "Office Software Protection Platform". I contacted Microsoft and asked me to get back because I just cannot try to run Office. The receptionist offered me a good technical support but the site states that it is paying. Otherwise, on another forum, I was asked to reinstall the system but I think it's too radical.

During the installation of certain programs, Windows XP or Windows Vista may display the following message: Error 1402 could not open key or Error 1402 could not open key. To correct this error, you must go to the Base Registers: Start / Run, type regedit and then Enter. Make a right-click on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, option Permissions. "Administrators" and "SYSTEM" must be present with the permission "Full control". If one is missing the two (or both), add: Click on Permissions button, Add one or those who lack .
