How to remove Norton from registry

    Hello,
After formatting the Vista, an update SP1/SP2 and not surprisingly there was a immediate uninstall of Norton Antivirus with the tool supposedly designed for that purpose Norton Removal Tools, as usual it is full of crumbs and Semantic Norton ( folder on hard disk, registry, etc.) modules IE8. I really got rid of all this crap but when I watch out for the rest, for the modules that seem fairly simplistic but quite simply disable them since they no longer need to appear after an uninstall, how to tack that everything appears again in the register, the name Symantec and Norton? Any help regarding this topic is appreciated. Thank you for your replies.

    Hello
In a first step, to cleanly uninstall Norton, it must go through Add / Remove Programs. Then, after a reboot, you can use the uninstall tool. A little help Ccleaner to clean files and registry time. If ever you find another folder Semantic or Norton, you can simply delete it. You can delete it manually, this will not cause you any harm.

Sometimes files remain, even after using the tool Norton Removal Tool. We'll have to manually delete. Some files are hidden, making them visible to see here:

Look for these files, and if found delete them manually:
    C: \ Program Files \ Symantec \
    C: \ Program Files \ Norton \
    C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Symantec \
    C: \ Documents And Settings \ <Username> \ Application Data \ Symantec \
    C: \ Documents And Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ Symantec \
    C: \ Documents And Settings \ Administrator \ Application Data \ Symantec \

Right click each folder =>Delete, confirm if the Windows application

If you can not navigate in the registry, drop manipulations below. If you can navigate in the registry:
    - Make " Start "->" Run "
    And keyboarding " regedit "
    Click OK

    The registry will open:
    1) Click on + to HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Software> and delete "Symantec"
    2) Click on the + to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> Software> and delete "Symantec"
    3) Click on the + to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> Software> Microsoft> Windows> CurrentVersion> Uninstall> and delete "SymSetup"
Close the Registry, and restart the PC

I must admit it's a process I have ever used but I am always afraid to turn some remaining files or registry keys such as the folder "Semantic Shared" in the Common Files without potential repercussions on the rest or my post. I would like to also transfer the modules to Semantic in IE does not load unnecessary browser about quality of surfing.

The Novice, interesting advice here because we do not always know by heart the way of all primary keys from the registry. I will do that spinning + ccleaner + reboot. Thank you to you is really nice. A load of revenge

will best of my opinion, using the latest windows registry cleaner 2009 is the best software for cleaner. I'm not pc health expert so my only advice is just refer to some pc health advisor.
I have problem like this before and I just refer to and everything's smoothly.
