"Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid" - Solution

In our enterprise surroundings, most of them recently used Group Policy to deploy an .msi package of Adobe Reader 9.3.1. In a small number of cases, the client was not capable to productively uninstall the older version or description of Adobe Reader and install version 9.3.1. When an administrator attempts to physically install Adobe Reader 9.3.1 onto one of the client apparatus that experienced tribulations, they receive the following error message during the installation procedure.

Acrobat and Reader 8.1.x bring up to date register supplementary transforms on the system. Systems by means of multiple transforms and systems set to register transforms in a protected location are affected. Affected users determine to not be capable bring up to date to the most recent version or uninstall the existing version at the same time as this tribulations persists. This tribulation does not have an effect on the accurate functioning of the installed application, and no additional application is affected.

Re: "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid" - Solution

This worked for me with adobe acrobat standard

Open Regedit

Locate registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\68AB67CA7DA73301B7448A2100000030

Make sure the value "Transforms" is set to a valid C:\ path. This error can be caused if the transforms are set to something like: U:\windows\installer\91b8c.mst
