It appears as you have some pre released builds of the application on your Macbook. So check whether if you are getting the error immediately and right after then installation. Then you will have to update with a compatibility update with your operating system. Also some of the components needs to be updated and hence your operating system.

    Apply the Licensing Service Update
    1. Close any Adobe applications.
    2. Download the Licensing Service Update.
    3. Run the License Service Update.
      • Extract the LicenseRecovery109.zip.
      • Important: A utility such as WinZip must be used to extract the contents on the zipped file.
    4. Double click LicenseRecover.exe.
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
    6. Start your Adobe application.

Sounds like the patch which you have applied to Creative Suite 3 or 4 products, Acrobat 8 or 9, Photoshop Elements 6, 7 or 8, Director, and Technical Communication Suite. If the issue persists still then try running the patch again and then enter 0 when it prompts you. If you get the error again after running the patch again then setting the Flexnet licensing service to manual will resolve the issue
