Issue with Photoshop Elements 5.02

I have a desktop machine and it is been installed with Windows Vista. I have installed Adobe Photoshop elements 5.02 application. The problem is that when I try to open Quick Fix or the other editor programs I get an error message that is "Attempt to access invalid address." What could be the reason? Please do help me out so that I can make the change. It would be helpful.

• Remove application and then restart the system
• Now Install the fresh new copy of the application
• Install the patch for 5.02
