Photoshop CS4 "Could not save as...because file is already in use or was left open"

I have been using Photoshop CS4 from quite a long time in Windows XP. Well, I have done a clean install to the Windows 7 operating system. Ever since, I am using this new operating system, I am getting an error message from Photoshop CS4 as "Could not save as...because file is already in use or was left open". I am not able to understand why this is happening. Also, I am getting the same message even after trying the save many times. If anyone knows why this problem is happening and how to get rid of it, then please reply as soon as possible.

You may be trying to save the PS files by keeping the files open. Make sure that you close all the files. Terminate the process of Photoshop CS4 from the Task Manager.

After that, open Photoshop CS4 again. Now, create any new file. After that, try doing the saving. Just let me know if you are getting the particular message from Photoshop CS4 as "Could not save as...because file is already in use or was left open".

The file that you are trying to save is open in some other application or program because of which Photoshop CS4 is prompting "Could not save as...because file is already in use or was left open". So, as mentioned in the above post, close all other applications except Photoshop CS4 and then, try going about with the saving of the file. I was facing the problem of Photoshop CS4 as "Could not save as...because file is already in use or was left open" because it was open in some other application. I had closed all the applications, just leaving PS open and I was successfully able to do the saves. Anyways, thanks for all the replies and suggestions that you guys have provided to solve my problem.
