office 2007 upgrade

Hi, I reinstalled my Windows XP and bought a Windows 7 upgrade.
When I did the upgrade I overwrote the old XP files and run now Windows 7.
My PC had WORKS installed but it does not run anymore under Windows 7.
When I tried to install my Office 2007 the installer could not find the WORKS program. I do have WORKS in windows-old directory but it is not active so the office installer cannot find it. In my previous version (under XP) Office was working....
how can I recover WORKS (it was preinstalled on my PC) so I can install Office?

By that, are you referring to Microsoft Works? Did you installed it before upgrading to Windows 7 or later on? If it was done previously then install it once again. If its still not working then there is certainly a different problem on your computer. However, if possible create a separate test partition on your hard drive, create a fresh installation of Windows 7 and then install your WORKS on it. If it works then that's not your Windows 7 or WORKS problem but somethings else. Otherwise...

You need to perform a clean install of the operating system rather than upgrade. This would have let you to a better conclusion and make the change that is needed. It will be better if you check for the aspect and make the implementation as needed. Do process and perform for the thing and work as required. I hope you may then get to a proper solution. Check out.
