Error with Flash player on iMac

I have an Apple iMac and it is been installed with Mac OS X. The problem is with the application that is flash player. When I execute the application its closes down by an error message that is Flash player quit unexpectedly. I do not know why is this happening? Please do help me out so that I can make the changes that is needed in order to work or process well. It will be helpful.
