"Microsoft Office Help Viewer has stopped working"

    I'm running Windows 7 with IE8.

I don't use IE much but recently noticed that it will no longer work. I start it up and it immediately crashes and gives the above error. I can start it with add-ons disabled and it will stay open for about 10 seconds and then give the error, or immediately if I try to go to a website. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still get the same answer.

I also just noticed that the Help viewer in Microsoft office gives me the above error if I click on it, immediately. I have Office 2010 beta installed and 2007. It will give the error in both versions. I have tried restoring it to an earlier point but still have the same problems.

Any help in solving this would be greatly appreciated!

This seems to be some kind of malware activity. Which antivirus are you currently running? Is it up-to-date till the date? You can even try out installing and running MalwareBytes to remove any unknown malware affected your system.

Use a good antivirus tool that will be helpful that is necessary. You can make use of Quick Heal total security antivirus tool and then make the essential aspects to be implemented as needed. I hope you may then be able to work well and make things to work in your way.
