    ActiveSync 4.5 on XPSP3: error 0xc0000034

    I have just changed mobile with purchase of HTC Touch 3G Mobile 6.1 W.I have a PC with XP SP3 and I use Outlook 2007. I try to sync my mobile with my PC using USB cable and ActiveSync 4.5. This does not work! When I connect my mobile to the USB cable connected to the computer, the mobile turns off completely! Unable to relight as the USB cable is connected. ActiveSync has barely time to start (no time to configure options ) and the screen "mobile is disconnected" appears. What to do? I despair.The information is error 0xc0000034. Thank you in advance for your help.

    Check the steps:
    1. Disconnect the Pocket PC computer.
    2. Open Internet Explorer on the Pocket PC.
    2. Go to Microsoft pocket PC website
    4. Open the downloaded file.
    5. By having the Pocket PC still disconnected, open Active Sync on the PC.
    6. Delete all sync partnerships.
    7. Connect the Pocket PC.
    8. Complete partnership and uncheck ALL synchronization options.
    9. Perform a full synchronization with no options.
    10. Back in Active Sync options and reselect the options you want.
    11. Perform a normal synchronization.

    ActiveSync 4.5 is only compatible with phones running Windows Mobile 2003 or later. ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Manager are incompatible with Windows Embedded CE 4.2, 5.0, Pocket PC 2002 and Smartphone 2002. (If your phone does not have a touch screen, to determine which operating system you are using Windows Mobile, click Start > Settings > About. If your phone has a touch screen, click Start > Settings > System tab> About.) To synchronize data with these types of phones, you will need a USB or serial cable, a computer connected to the Internet Explorer files.

    ActiveSync 4.5 now includes a utility resolution scans your computer and your phone to identify potential problems and offers information and advice. If you use a Windows Mobile 5.0 MSFP equipped (Messaging and Security Feature Pack), ActiveSync 4.5 gives you access to:
    * Direct Push Technology;
    * deletion of local data;
    * authentication to Microsoft Exchange Server-based certificates.

    ActiveSync 4.5 is only compatible with the following versions of Windows Mobile:

    * Windows Mobile 6.5
    * Windows Mobile 6.1
    * Windows Mobile 6.0
    * Windows Mobile 5.0
    * Equipped with Windows Mobile 5.0 MSFP (Messaging and Security Feature Pack)
    * Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
    * Windows Mobile 2003
