    ActiveSync hangs Wireless LAN connection

I tried for several days now to configure an iPhone 3G to sync with an Exchange server. After setting up the account on the iphone, trying sync it asks me to accept the certificate, OK, and then nothing, no message synchronized, no event schedule. The Exchange account concerned is authorized to synchronize a mobile device. Exchange ActiveSync is well established and seems to work (error 501 not implemented when I go with Firefox, so it's good). The only thing that is recovered by the iPhone is the session id exchange. That's it.Has anyone already managed to sync an iPhone with an Exchange server? Someone has an idea, a track, a solution? FYI, I'm the network administrator, the firewall is configured to redirect requests on port 443 to the exchange server. Thank you in advance.

With Exchange 2007, if you encounter a certificate problem when connecting to OWA and when you configure an Exchange 2007 / Pushmail / ActiveSync your device iPhone (2.2.1) and Windows Mobile, here's how I used to solve this problem. The warning message OWA is not blocking because you can still access your OWA, however, the certificate problem connecting to Exchange IPhone, 2007 / ActiveSync. Solve the problem OWA resolves the problem with the iPhone, or vice versa.

With your iPhone or Windows Mobile, when you configure your Exchange account, after the access check, your iPhone tells you that:
Certificate for the domain XXXX is not valid
The error is that you have not installed a certificate containing precisely the domain name you are trying to access. If your URL to access OWA for Defined in the CAS for OWA access URL, then you need to generate from your exchange 2007 certificate containing precisely the domain.

You need to use ActiveSynch 4.5 that is the latest synchronization software for PCs and handheld organizers using the Windows CE operating system. This new version is certainly improved. It is incredibly easy to install and use with a complete re-design of its architecture and its user interface and communication of clear improvements in speed synchronization and overall performance. ActiveSync 4.5 is compatible with all versions of pocket diaries and compatible with versions 2 and 3 for Pocket PC, making the timing more powerful and easy to use Windows CE.

To establish an Exchange Server connection, you should ask your ISP or your system administrator the name of the server and the server domain. You must also know your username and password Exchange. Note Before changing synchronization settings on the phone, disconnect it from your PC.
    # On the Home screen, click Start > ActiveSync > Menu > Configure Server. If you have not yet established synchronization with Exchange Server, the dialog will show Add Server Source.
    # In Server Address Enter the name of the server running Exchange Server, and click Following.
    # Enter your user name, password and domain name, and click Following.
    # If you want the phone to remember your password for failing to give when you log on, check Save password.
    # Check the boxes of the types of information you want to synchronize with Exchange Server.
    # To change available synchronization settings, select the type of information, and click Menu > Settings.
    # To change the rules for resolving synchronization conflicts, click Menu > Advanced.
    # Click End.

This is only necessary if you decide to synchronize new items as they arrive. For any further scheduling synchronization, or sync manually, you will not need to set the device address.
    • On the home screen of the phone, click Start > ActiveSync > Menu > Planning.
    • Click Menu > Device address.
    • Do one of the following:
    # If you must use the profile of a given service provider, select the profile name of your subscription Provider. This list will be completed after your first sync. Then, enter the phone number of your equipment Phone device.
    # If you do not want to use the profile of a provider, select Other in Provider and enter the address that identifies your device on the network SMS address of the device. This is the same address that Internet users use to send you text messages.
    # Click Completed.
