I am having windows 7 operating system and using windows live messenger. But from few days I am getting very strange issue with it. While working with windows live messenger, suddenly I get error message which comprises error code '801941f7'. I don't know how to fix this problem of windows live messenger. If anyone knows the solution to sort out this WLM issue, then please let me aware about that.

We know that there are some spyware such as IMPlus which may distress your connectivity to the Messenger service. To conclude whether you have IMPlus installed on the system, for that open Control Panel, and then choose Add or Remove Programs. Then next step is to scroll throughout the list of installed programs to locate whether IMPlus is installed. If you locate it, select Remove to remove the program.

I think you need to make sure that you are using latest version of Windows Live Messenger. To substantiate the version select the Help and About Messenger. If you are not having 8.5 please download the most recent version. Windows Live Messenger desires to be given complete access throughout your Personal Firewall so that it can sign in and for additional functionality such as Video/Audio to work.

If you are connected through a router connection, please endeavor to avoid it and directly connect your PC to your Internet modem. If you are able to bond to Windows Live Messenger without the router connection, you may require to renew your router firmware or constitute its settings such that Messenger connections are permissible. I recommend you to reset proxy server settings, for that refer below steps:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Select Internet Options which from the Tools menu,.
- Select LAN Settings from the Connections tab from there.
- Then uncheck the Automatically detect settings option.
