Ati catalyst 10.3 will not install drivers on windows 7 x64

Last week i have purchased a new desktop installed with windows 7. After installing the ATI catalyst 10.3. The error message "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. The Nvidia display driver Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 186.31 unresponsive." appears every minute after the mouse and the screen will be frozen for a few seconds. How can I rectify this problem.

Sounds as you are facing this problem because you have not installed the latest driver on you system. Or the driver which you are trying to install is not compatible with the operating system. And hence it would be better if you try to download and install the driver on your system once again from the official website of the manufacturer.
Searching the forums can help you to find your answers more quickly

Let me confirm that changing the driver version does not solve the problem. I tried to completely uninstall my graphics card (GeForce8400 GS) and its pilots,

but even though you reinstall the latest driver from NVIDIA (195.62 VHQL 7 Pro for Windows 32-bit) the problem still persists. Is it certain that the problem is the NVIDIA drivers

Re: Ati catalyst 10.3 will not install drivers on windows 7 x64

I have an Nvidia card GT 220 installed with Windows 7 (64 bit). I also have this error message that appears and therefore I went on the Nvidia site and installed the latest driver. But now, this problem has reappeared. Is this a problem of graphics card, Windows 7 or something else. How can I rectify this problem?

    Thank you in advance.

I have the same problem with a Gforce 8800 GTS 512, I tried 2 driver nvidia, the problem is still there. I'm under 64-bit Windows 7 pro, the game requires more graphics power of the message appears more quickly (few minutes with crysis), This problem is widespread!. Anyone who has fixed this please suggest a suitable solution.

From my side I can not even install the latest driver from NVIDIA for my eForce 9650M GT running today with the 186.81 driver. I get the following error message: The NVIDIA setup program could not locate drivers compatible with your hardware. Setup will now exit. and therefore the problem still persists. Thank you for your help.
