Remove VLC From Context Menu

Hello to all,
I have Compaq computer which has Windows xp installed in it. I want to remove VLC context items from the menu, but I don't know how to do this. Can anyone tell me how to remove VLC From Context Menu. Please help me.

I also had the same problem and I able to fix this problem by doing following things.
1.First uninstall vlc from your computer.
2.Now download new version of vlc and install it in your computer.
3.While installing vlc unchecked the "context menu item" option.

Hey you have to use following steps to get rid out of this problem.
1.First go to the Start button.
2.Now go to the Run option.
3.Now type regedit in it and press enter.
4.Now go to following location:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
5.Now search and delete information about vlc.

Use following steps to get rid out of this problem.
1.First go to start button.
2.Now got to the run option.
3.Now type regedit in it.
4.Now go to the following location.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Shell
5.Here you will find two options "Add to VLC playlist" and "Send to VLC.", just delete these entries.
6.Now restart your computer.

I also had the same problem. I tried various method to fix this problem, but none of them worked out. Then I use following steps to fix this problem. I think you also use these steps to fix this problem.
1.First uninstall vlc from your computer.
2.Now restart your computer.
3.Now again install vlc in your computer.
Now you will not get any problem.
