    Start OpenOffice from command line

    Hello,
I want to start open office tools from the command line but I do not really know where they are. I searched for example
    Code:
    calc, oocalc
But I can not find them. So, if you know how to do this then it will be great. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
In my open office, I do not have all the tools you speak. But once they are launched, you could find them may be something like this
    Code:
    ps-Al
A little research, you can find the name of the tool. open office starts in command line
    Code:
    soffice &
Hope these commands work for you.

    OpenOffice from terminal

    Hello,
I have my pc with linux on hand, but normally during the installation, the shortcuts are being put on the menu. If this is the case, look in the properties to know the command line used. In your directory ooffice there is a sub-directory bin. The latter contains shell scripts responsible for launching the executable. You just have to throw them.

    Hello,
Maybe you could use do something like this
    Code:
    locate-u
to create a database of files on your hard disk (note it takes time) then
    Here is the code
    Code:
    locate soffice
to see where the files to open office, if you have an idea of the names of programs you can directly put their name after locate. Why do not you try the method I gave you earlier with ps-Al?

    Hello,
I had several responses at the same time once I went through the Al-ps
It's good I found, they are located in the following folder of your directory structure.
    Code:
It's in Open Office / program / scalc
Just navigate to this directory and you can find the necessary commands.
