Migration of sbs 2003 to sbs2008

Hey

We are getting a new server for one of our clients, they currently have SBS 2003 premier. The new server will have SBS 2008 premier. I know it's possible to do a migration from 2003 to 2008, i can follow the step by step that Microsoft provides. I just want to know risks involved. we are going to be converting the SBS 2003 to a virtual server and migrating the server that way. currently the SBS has a DFS to their Melbourne office (we are in birsbane), we want to know the likely hood of the DFS breaking. Please let me know any positive/negative feedback. Let me know if you need any more infomation.
