I have the similar difficulty with hd3850 agp. I have install CCC first, to regulate scale the uninstall CCC to get ati tray tools to run without black border and distorted text. Cannot locate to where to set the scaling so I do not have to utilize CCC. I am not able to use it. I want some information on this and also the features of this.

This characteristic would be a real gift. You have to maintain CCC installed on your computer presently for this. You have to set Scaling to "centered timings" and this permits you to play the games in the declaration slighter than LCD native declaration without quality degradation due to extrapolation. "Centered Timings" permits to have 1:1 pixels with a black border approximately. This setting would let a lot of of us play the most recent games on the highest surroundings in something similar to 1680*1050 on a 1920x1200 panel without upscaling.

Not anything to do with TV out in your case. By defaulting the GPU scaling is at 15% when install your hd3850, which resources a black border and squished text. This is the simple method to set the scaling to 0%(ie no scaling) is to install CCC , which you would somewhat not. Is there several additional method, if it cannot be done in ATI tray tools. TV Out/Displays is a solitary module which was dropped at present. No technique to presently facilitate single alternative without using entire Displays module.

With the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 you have to formerly I had scaling set to the GPU in arrange to maintain the screen aspect ratios at lower declaration, e.g. 1280x1024 for 3DMark05. The GPU would scale the picture up to utilize as much of the screen as probable with black borders of varying widths at moreover side. You be able to observe a GPU scaling alternative in the Catalyst Control Centre additional than by defaulting it seems to scale to full screen and does not maintain the aspect ratio. The entire the alternative are greyed out. Is it not probable to have scaling with a fixed aspect ratio on the ATI cards.

For this you have to drop your desktop declaration to something lower than the native/present declaration, and then go back to the similar GPU scaling alternative in the CCC, and it be supposed to no longer be greyed out, so you be able to modify it to fixed aspect ratio. Those scaling alternative being grayed out has been broken similar to that for the last 3 driver releases. Used to run for you.

It does not come into view to be broken as such as you set the declaration lower than the native one of your monitor (1920x1200), checked the fixed characteristic ratio setting then changed back to the defaulting declaration. At present when you work with 3DMark03 for illustration, the 1024x768 testing declaration comes into view in 4:3 aspect ratio with black borders on either side as an alternative of stretched. The scaling alternative is greyed out at the native declaration for the reason that, perceptibly, no scaling is desirable if the display declaration matches that of your monitor. Scaling is merely necessitate for non-native resolutions when is why you have to drop down to alter the setting.
