    MSI Afterburner 5970

I have bought a new MSI laptop on which i have installed a windows 7 operating system which runs on Intel I7 920 4.0Ghz. It has an ATI 5970 2gb 950/1200 video card and SB Fatality Titanium sound card. PSU is of 1000w RoseWill. I an trying to adjust my clocks in afterburner but it is not happening. And my performance is getting worse and worse.

Actually even i am trying to change the clock on Msi afterburner but i guess it is just not doing anything. For the first time when i overclocked it 39 average in crysis to the 46 average with 850core 1200 memory 1.62 volts which was really a good gain but when i put 900core 1200 mem then frames gain dropped back to the 39 average. Now it is not changing the performance anymore.

Here i have provided some of the steps by which you can create new profiles from and which in further helps you to change the performance of your card.
    1. Create new profile in CCC with just ATI overdrive profile and Save it and do forget to Activate and close CCC.
    2. Next go to C:\Users\Gerard\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Profiles and edit it by right clicking it from where you can change the Core,Memory,Core voltage and Fan speed etc.
    3. Next open CCC and Activate the new profile you made.

Actually MSI Afterburner is much easier to create the profiles for 2d,3d applications. I have provided you the link from where you can download the MSI Afterburner, Just click on its name to download it. This software has an ability of an overclocking up to 85 % and Over voltage function to significantly increase overclocking potential. You can do Core/Shader/Memory clock adjustment by using it and it is also capable of Core/Shader clock Link/Unlink.

If you want to create a new profiles by using the MSI Afterburner then follow these simple steps after downloading this software. You may set the speed of your fan as well from it.
    1. First goto settings tab.
    2. Then select GPU 2 hit ok
    3. Make a profile for 2d applications and set sliders to low numbers for voltage, core, memory, fan speed and press Apply.
    4. Wait a minute until fan spins up/down to settings selected.(you can check by hitting auto button for fan speed) and unselect auto setting on fan.
    5. Right click on any number on the bottom to save a profile.
    6. Make a profile for 3d applications and do the same as 2d (this can be your gaming overclock profile).
    7. Select your 2d,3d clocks and hit OK.
