Running Virtual PC Integration features without password

    Hi friends,
I have getting frustrated with the pop-up of the password after enabling the integration feature. I have created new Virtual PC which is having the Windows 7 as host as well as guest operating system. After enabling the features of an integration, I am always prompted for a username and password. I want to get rid of it. How can I run Virtual PC Integration features without password. Hope that someone would help me soon.!!

First you will have to uninstall a previous version of Virtual PC. Uninstalling a previous version of Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode can be done in following ways :
    1. Back up all data from the Windows XP mode.
    2. To uninstall the beta version of Windows XP mode, click Start, Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features, then double-click on Virtual Windows XP. For the Release Candidate, double-click Windows XP mode.
    3. To uninstall the beta or Release Candidate of Windows Virtual PC, click Start, Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features, View installed updates, then Windows Virtual PC (KB958559).
    4. Access localappdata%% \ Microsoft \ Windows Virtual PC \ Virtual Machines \, then delete the files from the disc differentiation (. Vhd) and parameters (. Vmc).
    5. Restart the computer.

You can try the following solution mentioned by me to regain access to the Virtual Machine :
    1. Right click on the Virtual Machine instance.
    2. Then click "Settings".
    3. Click "Integration Features" which would be present in the left panel.
    4. Then in the right panel, uncheck "Enable at startup".
    5. Finally click OK and double-click to open the Virtual Machine.

After following these steps, the password prompt will no longer appear.
    Blessings to you

If you have created virtual machines running Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) and installed an earlier update of RemoteApp, follow the steps below. The update can perform many productivity applications Windows XP or Windows Vista from a Windows PC using Windows Virtual PC 7. It does not apply to Windows XP mode. The following ways explains the updation of RemoteApp :
    1. Once Windows Virtual PC installed, start the virtual machine running Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista SP1.
    2. For a virtual machine running Windows XP SP3, go to the virtual machine window, then uninstall the package components for integration as follows: click Start, Control Panel, Add / Remove Programs, then click Virtual Integration components PC.
    3. In the Windows virtual machine Windows XP SP3, uninstall the update RemoteApp as follows: click Start, Control Panel, Add / Remove Programs, then click the Patch for Windows XP (KB961742-v3).
    4. For a virtual machine running Windows Vista SP1, go to the virtual machine window, then uninstall the package components for integration as follows: click Start, Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features, then click Virtual Integration components PC.
    5. In the Windows virtual machine Windows Vista SP1, uninstall the update RemoteApp as follows: click Start, Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features, View Installed Updates, and select KB961741.
    6. Restart the virtual machine.
    7. In the Windows virtual machine, install the package components to integrate the latest by clicking on Tools, then click Install Integration Components.
    8. At the end of the download, run the appropriate setup, then restart the virtual machine.

Re: Running Virtual PC Integration features without password

Windows Virtual PC is a new optional component that you can use to evaluate and migrate to the Windows operating system 7 while maintaining compatibility with applications that run on earlier versions of Windows. This component is available the form of a package of downloadable update for Windows 7. If you run Windows XP and want to maintain compatibility with applications that run on this operating system, Windows Virtual PC provides an easy way for you to do this. You can use the mode of Windows XP to access a virtualized instance of Windows XP that is ready to customize with your own applications. You can even use the mode of Windows XP and Windows 7 to run seamlessly in Windows 7 applications when the applications are actually installed in Windows XP. Mode Windows XP is available for Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Enterprise and Ultimate, Windows 7.
