How to close MS Word 2007 in a second monitor

I run two monitors from my PC. If I run Word 2007 in my main monitor I can close it several diferent ways. However if I drag Word into my second monitor when I try to close it in the normal it freezes. The only way I can close it is to right click it in the tray at the bottom of my main monitor and select 'Close'. Any answers?

Dual monitor support is available for desktop computers running Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later, and laptop computers running Microsoft Windows XP. You can turn off dual monitor support by selecting the second monitor and then clearing the Extend my Windows Desktop onto this monitor check box.
