Hello, I am getting problem with my updates of the virus and spyware definitions. When I try to update it, it gives me message that the Microsoft Security Essentials was unable to update definitions and to make sure the computer is connected to the internet and try again. I am not able to get the solution for this. If you are having any solution then please provide that to me.

Hello, if your Microsoft Security Essentials Fails to Update Definitions then you can simply follow the steps below and solve the problem:

• You need to go to the settings of the Scheduled Scan.
• Now here check on the Run a scheduled scan on my computer (recommended) checkbox.
• Then you need to again check on the Check for the latest virus and spyware definitions before running a scheduled scan from the checkbox.
• Now remove the check from the Start the scheduled scan only when my computer is on but not in use on the checkbox.
• Now save the changes.
• Done.
