Hard drive utility softwares

I need a hard drive utility that can be executed from Windows, and will perform a low level wipe means 'zeroing' a drive to a slaved or external USB hard drive.

I looked through the drive cleaners section here at MG (I skimmed real quick and may have missed something) and am unable to find anything regarding same . If someone can help me to find out the stand-alone application that is capable to do this.

I am not sure the requirements that you are looking for can be able to give you the exact response but the primary thing that you have mentioned in your post "Zeroing ".

It can be performed with the help of inbuilt command and you can do that in this way :

It may be out of the topic but you can use it for zeroing the drive and can be helpful for you . I just bought a "Smart Dongle" hardware pack model suggested as # VP-92148

Why you are going so far to search it out. One of the popular software which is used for multiple purposes to collect the performance diagnosis of the computer system named as Ccleaner.

You can use it for your task using the following way -

1. Install and Run CCleaner.
2. Press ALT + o .
3. Click on the 'Settings' button.
4. Go forward after click on Next to 'Secure Deletion' and choose 'Secure File Deletion' radio button.
5. From drop down, choose the level of security you need.
6. Click on the 'Include' button
7. Add the external/slave drive
8. Execute CCleaner
