    gamebooster.exe is not a valid Win32 application

I recently downloaded Game Booster in order improve the performance of some of my resource-thirsty games, but I encountered some problems after running it. Installation went well every time I tried to run it, a message pops up saying "gamebooster.exe is not a valid Win32 application". I am running Windows XP on my computer. Please help!

In some cases, incomplete or erroneous download of Game Booster from your default web browser i.e. Internet Explorer may cause such error message. Using another browser to download Game Booster may resolve this issue. If you still have same error then create a new user account and from there use Mozilla Firefox to download it.

According to Microsoft, this issue may occur if your files installation is damaged (corrupted). To resolve this issue, use the following method:

    1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
    3. In the list of installed programs, click on the program that is causing you the problem and then click Add/Remove.
    4. When you are prompted to uninstall the program, click Yes.
    5. When the removal process is complete, click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
    6. In the Named box, type "GameBooster.exe" or similar name to find the location of Game Booster's folder. Include the quotation marks.
    7. In the Look In box, click the hard disk where you have installed the program, and then click Find Now.
    8. In the list of found files and folders, right-click the program executable file, and then click Delete.

Re: gamebooster.exe is not a valid Win32 application

If you are having this issue when you try to run the program then that means the program is still unregistered under Windows Registry and so you need to perform the steps to register it in order to run it as normally it should be.

    1. Click Start and then Run
    2. Under command prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
    regsvr32 / i SHELL32.DLL
