    MP210 canon drivers for linux

    Hello,
I wonder if some one can help me with this problem, I have searched a lot for this on the internet, but not found a solution for this yet. I am searching for the MP 210 cannon scanner drivers for linux operating system. If you guys know from where to download and how to install them then it would be great. Thanks in advance.

Re: MP210 canon scanner software for linux

    Hello,
Personally, I only managed to run the scanner and I can not find the site where I had taken the software. I'm not sure what distribution you use. Tests install xsane for my part I'll keep looking. The xsane worked for me and is also working perfectly now, though i am not sure that the company has provided the drivers for the linux operating system. I recommend you to use the xsane software and see if the scanner works.

    Hello,
Even I am searching for the linux drivers for MP210 canon, xsane is installed but does not detect the hardware. I were in the process of trying Mandriva 2009.1. History to sweat my surfers to Procedure KDE 4. Is this because I am using the kde desktop environment and not the gnome desktop environment, if this is the problem then please guide me with the correct. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
I think you should go with the installation process, if you are using the kde desktop environment then there is no problems but if you use the gnome desktop environment then it would be better because mostly all software's work perfectly on the gnome desktop environment. At first it will take a heavy install but if you have a updated hardware then I do not think there will be any problem for the installation and the installation should go fine.

    Hello,
If you have the internet burner software, then this can be used to perform the task. You know you use a console editor, at least I hope so. You can install a distribution of linux or you will save only what you want. For me, I tested debian, arch and I think Arch is faster, but you can also look for fedora, slackware and gentoo. Although compile a gentoo with a 2.4, I can imagine this difficulty.
