If you are using the Macintosh then should have an extension. Hqx or. Bin. A file. Hqx file is a text file and BinHex 4.0 file. Bin is a file in MacBinary format. When you download a file. Hqx or. Bin, you must decode it using Aladdin Systems Stuffit Expander for Windows or by using another utility that recognizes the BinHex or MacBinary, BinHex example 4.0 or CompactPro . The decoder converts the file. Hqx or. Bin file to install. Once the file is converted setup file, you can double-click it to install its contents.

While using the MS-DOS (. Exe), you should know that these .Exe files are compressed using the compression utility files PKWare. To download and extract these files properly. Exe, follow these steps :
  1. If you download to your hard drive, create a new folder in which you can copy and open a temporary file.

  3. To extract the file contents. Exe file after downloading, click Start, click Run, then type the following command:
    • <path\filename>-d
Do not download files directly into your Windows folder. In doing so, you could overwrite files necessary for the proper functioning of your computer.
